Arts and Activities Week
We have had a great Arts and Activities week. The children have enjoyed plenty of action-packed, fun-filled activities including face-painting, print workshops, bouncy castles, animation, tag-rugby, dance, hiking and African drumming to name but a few. The talent and creativity of Holy Rosary pupils was also clearly evident at your Art Exhibition on Tuesday.
Don’t forget our Art & Activities Week parade will take place tomorrow, Friday, 16th June at 10a.m. Each class will dress up and parade through Old Court, Ferncourt and Allenton Estates. Please come out and help and support us.
Sporting Success
Congratulations to the girls camogie team who won the Cumann na mBunscoil Sciath Olly Quinlan Final in Croke Park on Monday.
The team put on a fantastic display of camogie and were dominant all over the pitch throughout the whole game. It has been 20 years since the Holy Rosary camogie team brought silverware back to Ballycragh. The girls were welcomed back to the school by their families, friends and a whole school guard of honour.
Congratulations and thank you to their teachers Ms. Ralph and Ms. Naughton for all their hard work with the team.
A big congratulations also to the school basketball team on their success in the Annual Tallaght Garda Basketball Tournament in the Basketball Arena on Wednesday. They won all 6 games which got the m to the Final and they beat St. Martin de Porres in the final by 18pts to 4pts, this made them winners for the second year running. Well done to all the children involved and to their teachers Ms. Thornton and Ms. Morgan.
Family Fun Day
Family fun day takes place in the school grounds this Sunday afternoon the 18th of June from 2pm – 5.30pm. The committee is still looking for volunteers to help out on the day. Please contact Kathleen, HSCL on 086 0276666 if you are able to help out in any way.
Important Dates
Holy Rosary School will close for the summer holidays on Friday, 30th June at 12.30pm and re-open for all pupils on Thursday, 31st August.
Hot Weather
Due to the warm weather at the moment a lot of children suffer from hay fever and other allergies. If this is the case for your child you should make sure to give them any medication in the morning before they come to school. It is also a good idea to put sunscreen on your child and make sure to give them plenty of water coming to school.

Just a reminder to visit our school website for more information and updates on school activities. Find us at www.holyrosaryps.ie.
First Holy Communion
Congratulations to the boys and girls in second class who made their First Holy Communion on Saturday 27th May. Thanks to all those who supported them in their preparation and helped in any way.
Stamped Addressed Envelopes
Please make sure and send in a Stamped Addressed Envelope to your child’s teacher for the posting of your child’s report and booklist. Failure to send this in will result in you not receiving the above documents and school will be closed for most of the summer so they will not be available to you until September. The booklists will be posted on the school website www.holyrosaryps.com.
