Green Schools

Green schools

The green schools committee is responsible for making sure that all classes and teachers are doing their best to keep our school green and clean. There are 24 children from 3rd-6th class on the green schools committee. So far our school has been awarded 5 green flags for recycling, energy saving, saving water, greener transport and biodiversity. As well as meeting regularly at lunchtimes to work on the latest green flag, the children conduct surveys of the classes, including spying on classes to see who’s turning off classroom lights at lunchtime, recycling paper and plastic, etc. They recently helped set up a wormery to use our food waste and create compost. They feed the worms weekly.
