Home School Liason

Did you know?

  • Holy Rosary Primary School has a Home / School / Community / Liaison teacher (H.S.C.L.)
  • Your H.S.C.L. teacher is available to support parents and help with your concerns.
  • The H.S.C.L. teacher can help you become involved in school activities if you so wish.
  • Holy Rosary Primary School run courses aimed at helping you with your children e. g. parenting/self-development etc
  • We can set up courses to help parents in learning new skills e.g. Computer courses, art and craft, English language classes etc
  • Throughout the school year we organise interest talks for parents in conjunction with the Parent’s Association of Holy Rosary Primary School.
  • If you have any ideas/suggestions in relation to courses you would like to see available in our school for parents please don’t hesitate to call me.
  • Please keep an eye out for notices on the noticeboards, school front door and the window of the Parents Room.
  • You can find out more by dropping into the school to talk with me or I can visit your home if you so wish.

Parents’ Room

The Parents’ Room is available Monday to Friday 2-3pm for parents to do homework with junior and senior infant children. Children must be supervised at all times and the room must be left neat and tidy. 

Baby and Toddler Group

Wednesday mornings 9:30am – 10:30am

Come and join us for a baby and toddler group in the Parents’ Room. There are lots of toys for the little ones and tea and biscuits for the adults. All parents/guardians/grandparents and members of the wider community welcome whether you have a child in Holy Rosary or not. Free of charge.

Book Club

Once a month on a Thursday morning 9.30am-11.00am

Come for an informal chat about a book and lots of tea and biscuits!

Craft Club

Monday mornings 9.30am-11.00am

All welcome for knitting/ sewing/ card making etc. and chats!!

The group generously knit hundreds of Easter chicks and bunnies which are hugely popular among the children. The funds raised go to local charities. If you knit and would like to get involved new members are always welcome.


There is a parents’ choir here in Holy Rosary Primary School. We meet on Friday mornings and sing a few songs and have great chats. We would absolutely love some new voices to join us. You don’t need to be a good singer you just need to enjoy singing!

Exercise Classes

Keep an eye on the noticeboards, website, Twitter and for notes in schoolbags to find out about exercise classes which run at different stages throughout the year such as Zumba or Yoga.
