Sport

Here at Holy Rosary we promote the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of the child. The strands of the P.E curriculum are Athletics, Dance, Gymnastics, Games, Outdoor Adventure Activities and Aquatics.

Our wonderful facilities include a state of the art hall, large playing field, basketball court, playground and yards that allow us to cater for the P.E curriculum.

Involvement in sport and recreation is beneficial for each child’s personal development. The school provides opportunities for pupils to participate in a wide variety of sporting activities including Gaelic football, hurling, camogie, soccer, basketball, tag rugby, rounders and athletics. Throughout the year, children have the opportunity to try other sports when external coaches come to the school. Some class groupings will access more specialised strands of the curriculum for a 6 week workshop.
