At Holy Rosary we use technology to support teaching and learning across all class levels.
Each classroom is equipped with an interactive whiteboard and a teacher laptop to facilitate engaging and interactive lessons. We have 2 classroom sets of Chromebooks that are available for teachers to use throughout the school, as well as an additional set of Chromebooks to support pupils with additional needs. We also have a set of Ipads that are available to Junior Classes.
We use Google Workspace across the school, giving pupils opportunities to develop digital skills through tools such as Google Docs, Google Slides and Google Classroom. Google Classoom is also used as a platform to communication with Parents.
Digital learning is an important part of school life. Pupils engage in coding activities using Scratch, while our younger classes develop early coding and problem solving skills through the use of BeeBots.
We participate in the Amazon Think Big Stem Programme, Microsoft Month of code and the Microsoft Dream Space programme, which provide opportunities for our pupils to explore coding, STEM and digital technologies.
Internet safety is of high important to our school. Internet access throughout the school is filtered and monitored by PDST and pupils are regularly taught about safe and responsible use of technology and the internet. See the Acceptable Usage Policy (AUP).
