Welcome to the website for Holy Rosary Primary School.

Welcome to Holy Rosary Primary School’s website. We hope this site will give you an insight into the busy and bustling hive of activity that is Holy Rosary Primary School.

In our school we want to create a happy, caring school where young people are encouraged to maximise their potential.

We would like to thank all the parents and teachers who volunteer to give our children the widest educational experience possible and help make Holy Rosary Primary School great!

We Are Now Enrolling!

School Library

We are lucky to have a fabulous library here in Holy Rosary. It is well stocked with hundreds of books and it’s run completely voluntarily by a group of our brilliant parents and friends of the school. The children usually get to visit the library once a week but this year we had to be a bit more imaginative. If the children couldn’t go to the books then the books had to go to them! A huge thanks to our volunteers for their hard work last week to get the boxes of books organised. The children have been happily reading away all week!

Please find below our school’s Covid Response plan and also a summary of our plan for parents. We hope these will answer any queries or concerns you may have.

Information for students and their families about returning to school can also be found in the videos on the link below.

Sadly, we learned this morning of the sudden death of one of our students, Ghaffar Ganiyu. This is a terrible tragedy for Ghaffar’s family and all our school community. We are deeply saddened with this news and we extend our sincere sympathy to Ghaffar’s family and friends.
Ghaffar was a 6th Class student who was looking forward to starting Firhouse Community College in September. All the staff remember him fondly as a kind, gentle and good-natured boy. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
We have been in touch with psychologists from the National Educational Psychological Service and they have provided us with some resources for parents which may be useful at this time. We have added these resources below.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Ghaffar’s family, his classmates and the wider school community at this difficult time.

It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the death of Stephanie Meagher who taught in Holy Rosary PS from 1989 until her retirement in 2013.

Stephanie was a dedicated, caring and highly respected teacher. She will be sadly missed by all her friends and colleagues here in the school.

Ar dheis De go raibh a h-anam dilis.

We Miss You All

A message from the staff of Holy Rosary to all our students and parents. We miss you all.

Keep the messages and work coming because we love to see how you are all getting on
