On Wednesday, March 1st, at 9.30am – 10.30am in the Parents’ Room, Drink Aware will give a power point presentation and workshop to parents who would like help to start a conversation about alcohol with their children. Operation Transformation is continuing on Tuesday mornings. Meet in the Parents’ Room at 9.30am, record your weight (optional), go for a walk / run and have a chat in the Parents’ Room afterwards with tea / coffee and a healthy snack provided.

The Book Club meets once a month on Thursday mornings at 9.30am in the Parents’ Room. The next meeting is on March 2nd and this month’s book choice is The House by A O’Connor. New members are always welcome to join in the fun and you don’t have to have read the book!

The Knitting Club is busy getting the Easter Chicks ready to sell on the yard the week of the Easter holidays in aid of Barretstown. New members would be very welcome. The club meets every Monday morning at 9.30am in the Parents’ Room.

On Fridays at 9.30 the Parent / Toddler group meets. Everyone is welcome to drop in for a cuppa and a chat even if you don’t have a toddler!

It’s that time of year again when the garden comes back to life. Unfortunately this also means that the weeds grow too. The Gardening Club will resume after the mid-term. So if you would like to help to keep the weeds at bay meet in the school at 9.30am on Tuesday mornings from February 28th. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Connie Durcan, our former Deputy Principal, is organizing a collection of school supplies in good condition for a school’s project in Africa. She is looking for the following: old school books, story books, games, school bags, pencils, crayons, copies etc. She would be very grateful for any donations received. Please leave in any donations to the office before Friday, March 3rd.
