The following slideshow describes how our ‘Reading Recovery’ programme can help children who are experiencing literacy difficulties at around six years of age. It helps children develop effective literacy strategies to be able to work at the average level of their classmates. It also covers Power Hour an initiative that is used in all classes to help improve literacy levels.
Note: If the slides are moving on too quickly you can mouseover a slide, and click back (or forward) as may be required. Also, you can click on any of the circular dots underneath the middle of the slideshow – each dot represents a slide in the presentation – [the current slide will have white dot.]
The slideshow is also available to download as either the original Powerpoint presentation or a PDF [below].
